N21: Sydney Winter Regional 2015 Accommodation Update

Network 21 has had a couple of rooms become available at the North Sydney Harbourview Hotel for the Sydney Winter Regional Conference.

The only room type that is available is the Standard Queen Room at a rate of $210.00 per night excluding breakfast.

N21: Parking Luna Park - Sydney Winter Regional Conference 2015

Hi everyone

Winter Regional is just a week away and we are looking forward to sharing this weekend with you.

With regards specifically to Sydney, there are a number of transportation and accommodation options.

The closest hotel is the Harbour view hotel at North Sydney Station and we have rooms allocated there for those of you who have requested it.  It is within walking distance on a nice day - but its uphill walking back to the hotel. But you could catch the train to Milsons Point - which is one stop.

There are many accommodation options in the CBD -  again which is a very short train ride to Milsons Point Station and is very close to Luna Park.  There is also the option of travelling by ferry, with it docking almost at the entrance of Luna Park.

However, if you decide to drive - there is street parking with meters and are generally for 2 hours.

If you want to park at Luna Park itself - up to 3 hours is $23 - the maximum is $35. But if you leave the park after the Saturday day session and come back in for Saturday evening you will again be charged.

However - we (N21) are able to organise prepaid tickets which have a maximum cost of $18 per session. Again every time you depart and re-enter the parking station you would need an $18 ticket.

We are more than prepared to buy prepaid tickets - which you can buy from us at the N21 counter.  You could buy 3 or 4 to cover you for the weekend, however, if the parking station is full - the pre paid ticket is non refundable. The management of the park did tell us, that the car park is never full :)

The BDS in Sydney tomorrow night is at a new venue, The King's School, Pennant Hills Road, North Parramatta. Starting at 7.30pm until 10pm.

There are a few things we want to let you know.  See attached map for direction to "Futter Hall" and parking. Unfortunately NO food or drink is allowed inside the venue.  Futter Hall can get a little cold so it would be advisable to bring a jacket along.
